William H. Blakey served in the Confederacy, Company A, 3rd Regt Missouri Cavalry. He enlisted in Randolph Co, AR, on 30 Sep 1862, as a private. His name appears on some of the cards as William Hayden Blakey. He was captured Lynn Co, Kansas, 25 Oct 1864 and sent to Gratiot Street Military Prison in St. Louis, received there about 10 Nov 1864. He was on a list of those exchanged to Johnson's Island, Sandusky, Ohio on 12 Nov 1864. He was by that time a 2nd Lt, Co. A, Green's Regt, Cavalry. He was released from Johnson's Island, 16 Jun 1865, at which time he signed the Oath of Allegiance. His home was stated as Green Hill, MO. He was age 41. Dark complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes, 6 feet 1 inch tall.

There is more than meets the eye concerning this man. In 1880, ten years before he is said to have died, Louisa was living as head of household with two children, born after the marriage to William Haden Blakey. I have not been able to find the family in 1870 with the following exception.
In Big Creek Twp, Fulton Co, AR, household 3:
W. H. Blakey, age 45, b. KY, farmer. Nancy, age 33, b. AL, keeping house.
George 21, farm labor, b. MO.
Since George is living with him and this man is the right age and born Kentucky, it would seem that William Haden Blakey had left Louisa. Was there a divorce, or is this a case of abandonment - not unusual following the Civil War.

In 1880, W. H. Blakey was still in Big Creek Twp, Fulton Co, AR, Hh 62
W. H. Blakey, age 55, b. KY, parents b. KY
J. W., age 25, son, b. MO, father b. KY, mother b. MO [b. 1855]
M., female, age 24, daughter-in-law, housekeeper, b. MO [b. 1854]
J. Bowden, age 17, stepson, b. AR, father b. IL, mother b. MO

Son George was also still in Fulton Co., Big Creek Twp Hh 58
G. Blakey, age 30, b. MO
E. Blakey, age 28, wife, b. AL
M., daughter, age 5, b. AR
E. A., sister, age 8, b. AR

Louisa Blakey in Missouri.
1880 Census. Wilson Twp, Greene Co, MO. p.105A
Louisa A. Blakey, age 54, b. MO as were her parents
Wesley D., age 24, son, tailor, b. TN, parents b. VA
Sallie Y., age 20, dau, b. TN, parent b.MO
The birth places of the parents of Wesley and Sallie make no sense. Wesley might have been a son of William H.'s first wife.
