Individual Details
Elizabeth Hundley
(Abt 1740 - Aft 1777)
I believe that Elizabeth's birth year is approximate and was set based on a birth year for Joseph Haden that was faulty - she could have been a few years older, particularly if she was the first wife of Joseph. They may have been married around the time his father gave him 200 acres in Goochland Co, January of 1756.
Have also seen Elizabeth's name as Hendley; Irene Cook goes with Hundley Douglas has "Handley". The date of marriage is 175?. Have seen Feb 3 1764 as date of marriage but that is birth of their daughter Elizabeth and there were several children that appear to have been older than Elizabeth.
An Ambrose Hundley of Hanover Co is mentioned in records of William Rea, who I believe to have been married to Joseph Haden's sister Elizabeth. And of course Joseph's father moved to Hanover Co late in life - there were other Hadens living in Hanover. The problem is the loss of records from that county.

The Vestry book of St. Paul's Parish in Hanover Co also has references to the Hundley and Rea families that indicate they must have been living quite close together. The procession ordered 1 Sep 1739, was to be carried out by John Jones and John Rea. They did so and reported their work mentioning the lands of John Rea, Ambrose Hundley, and William Rea, among those lands processioned. Four years later, 18 Nov 1743, the following were among those ordered into the same precinct for processioning: Ambrose Hundly, John Rea, Ambrose Hundly, Junr.
Her death was given in the Cook papers as 1772 in NC. However, she was still living and in Albemarle Co VA in 1777:
