Col. J. H. Hayden, who died yesterday morning at his home was in the afternoon interred in the cemetery at Dresden. He was upward of 60 years of age. His demise was sudden and a great surprise to his friends and family. The deceased was a gallant ex-confederate officer. He settled in this county shortly after the war and became one of its most useful and distinguished citizens. He leaves a large family and a host of friends to mourn his death.
