Alice Hardin

(1782 - 9 Sep 1823)

Author Francis Huron gives the husband of Alice as Paul Duvall.

There was a Duvall family living near Capt William Hardin outside Hardinsburg [Hardin's Station]. I found a patent to John Pierce Duvall - based on Pre-emption Warrants - for 1000 acres, surveyed in 1783, patent dated 19 May 1785. The description states it was on the Waters of Clover Lick Run adj Wm Harden & John Dorrett's on the S, 1 1/2 m E of Hardins Station. One of William May's many patents also was adjacent to Duvall, Hardin, and Bush - William May was the county surveyor, Bush one of the men who came with Capt Hardin to settle the area.
