There is a puzzle regarding the marriage date to Frances. Halifax Co VA Marriage Bonds, 1753-1854, gives the bond as Joseph Poindexter to Frankey Harrison, 23 Dec 1799, John Marshall, bondsman. The marriage date given in other references is 19 May 1800, almost six months later, and took place in Campbell County.
