JANE [CRAWFORD]

Said to have been killed by Indians. I have found absolutely nothing that verifies the wife of David Crawford was even named Jane.
I did find the following procession notice for 1711 suggesting David Crawford was deceased. St. Paul's Parish Vestry records, p. 225, digital images on Ancestry.com:
#8. The lands of Maj. Nich'o Meriwether, Mr. William Meriwether, Mr. David Meriwether, Widdow Crawford, Mr. Jas. Brechin, John Hill & Widdow Ariss being made one precinct whereof the Said Maj'r Meriwether and Mr. William Meriwether were Overseers made return, 1711.
The younger David Crawford was Overseer of the precinct designed as #9.
In 1715, the lands processioned were of Nicholas Meriwether, William Meriwether, David Meriwether, Widdow Crawford, James Brechin, John Hill and Widdow Ariss. [p.236, img 257]
In 1719, John Poindexter is mentioned along with Nicholas, David & William Meriwether and no Crawford widow was named.
