This Logan Co. KY record shows that Wm. Britt Jr. (son of William and Sarh (Poor) Britt) was deceased by February 1818 when the Logan Co., KY court appointed Drury W. Poor as guardian:
"Ordered that Drury W. Poor to be appointed guardian to Tabitha Britt and Wm. W. Britt heirs of Wm. Britt Jr.. dec'd he having executed bond as the Law directs ."

The estate settlement of William Britt, 1817, names an heir as William. The William Britt who married Martha "Patsy" Mullins in Goochland must have been about the same age - but was dead in Goochland by about 1813. This marriage between Britt-Mullins has been attributed to various William. Martha's husband was also referred to as William Jr but probably because he was the younger William at the time, not the son of a William.
