There were no Trotter families living in Polk Co in 1880. Another descendant has stated her parents were George Trotter and Paralea German.
Lillie May Allen's delayed birth certificate gave her mother's name as "Dorothy Trotter". Her mother died when she was about 5 years old - perhaps she had forgotten her name.
Georgia died shortly after daughter Minnie was born on 15 Dec 1895.
