Likely one of the older sons since he was administrator of his father's estate.
John was administrator of his father's estate, 1797.

He appears to have died in late 1802 before he completed that administration. There is no suggestion of wife or children.

14 Sep 1811. Division of balance of estate of John Britt dec’d – to each of 9 distributees, 19.17.3 ½. Geo. Britt received on the first division more than his proportion which with interest leaves him in debt to John Britt, William Britt, William John, Ann Britt & Obadiah Britt for 6 15.2.
