p.117 Samuel L. Perkins, Joseph Soyars, John Perkins, Robert Jameson, James Sublett, and Jacob Proctor are appointed as patrollers in this county who are to serve without pay.

Jacob In Missouri is surely Jacob C. Proctor - it appears that he and Charles returned to Kentucky soon after this census - Charles married in Logan Co in 1852 and Jacob soon after.

J. C. Proctor to Martha R. Callis, 12 Nov 1853, Logan Co Marriage Book 2, p. 103. Apparently two children born before she died.

Then Jacob Proctor married second to Lena Hester A. Hurt, 24 Oct 1859, Logan Co KY. MB 3, p.16. Her name is Irene Hester A. on the House of Proctor website.

1860 Census: South Union, Logan Co KY, p.374, Household #285:
Jacob Proctor, age 41, Farmer; Hester age 28, housekeeper, Hester age 5, Nora age 3 and Elijah age 1. The next household was that of Jacob's mother, Elizabeth Proctor. Children all must have been Martha's.

Jacob C. Proctor, age 61, or born in 1819, in the 1880 Census, Logan Co KY. Wife Hester, age 50. Children: Nora Jane age 21, Robert age 17, Kittie age 15, James H. age 12, and Ada, age 5. William Jacob Hayden, listed as a nephew, age 26 was living with the family and performing farm labor - he was a son of Jacob's sister Elizabeth who had married William Haden.
A Hiram L. Hurt lived three households away - Hiram was 53, maybe a brother to Hester.

Ireane H. A. Proctor, Widow of Jacob C. Proctor, filed on 8 Nov 1887, Application #5274. Jacob served in Julius Co, 3rd MO Volunteers. This of course substantiates his presence in Missouri before his marriages.
