Age 85, of New Lothrop, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Virginia was born Aug. 22, 1923, in Delaware County, Indiana, to Joseph and Julia (Garner) Edwards. She married Lewis Dayton Wright in Indiana on Dec. 24, 1951, and together raised three daughters.
She loved to walk and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Rock Lake in Edmore.
She is survived by her husband Lewis of 57 years; two daughters, Debbie (Sonny) Adkins of Maryland and Donna Jando of New Lothrop; five grandchildren, Justin (Kelly) Holloway, Danielle (Wes) Hooker, Faith (Brian) Hutzler, Adam (Erin) Jando and Stephen Jando; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Hooker, Alyssa Holloway, MacKenzie Hooker and Sierra Hutzler; and cousin Betty Jane Myers of Muncie, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Lynne Holloway and brother Marshall Lee Edwards.
Those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Wright's name.
