Age 85, of New Lothrop, passed away Wednesday evening at the Chesaning Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Durand on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon.
Mr. Wright was born Sept. 15, 1926, the son of Harolen and Hilkia (Clevenger) Wright in Randolph County, Ind. He attended Lynchburg College in Virginia and served his country in the Navy from 1945 to 1947. On Dec. 24, 1951, he married Virginia Edwards in Indiana. She predeceased him May 9, 2009. Lewis was a department manager in shoe sales at Sears.
He is survived by his daughters Donna Jando of New Lothrop and Debbie (Sonny) Adkins of Maryland; grandchildren Justin (Kelly) Holloway, Danielle (Wes) Hooker, Faith (Aaron) Jones, Adam (Erin) Jando and Stephen Jando; great-grandchildren Tyler Hooker, Alyssa Holloway, Mackenzie Hooker, Sierra Hutzler, Ava Jando and Olivia Jones; and sisters Shirley Evans of Portland, Ind. and Phillis Moore of Arizona.
He was predeceased by his daughter Diane Lynne Holloway, sisters, Mary, Agnes, Roeina, Leota, Elizabeth and Mazie.
