Abigail Allen
(14 Mar 1710 - )
In her guardian folder regarding the appointment of a guardian to guard her interests in relation to her father's estate is a document Abigail signed a document in 1732 dismissing her guardian. She would have been about 22 years old, and is listed as a "single woman." She is described as Abigail Allen "of Dedham," meaning she was living in Dedham in 1732.
She states she is "fully satisfied for all the estate of my father and brother Moses deceased."
She is listed in the book, Walter Allen of Newbury, Mass., 1640, and some of his descendants, as "living in Dedham in 1732.
An Abigail Allen married John Stacy, Jr. on 1 Nov 1743 in Sturbridge. Her brother Aaron was there at that time and had no known daughter named Abigail. She was a bit old for a first marriage - age 33 - if it was this Abigail.
