Individual Details
Aaron ALLEN
(31 Dec 1707 - Mar 1754/55)
There were two Aaron Allens with a wife Hannah.. There was an Aaron Allen in Sturbridge with a recorded death of 1794, in his 79th year - a birth year of 1715, not 1707.
There is no question that the Aaron Allen, son of Samuel Allen of Sudbury and his second wife Abigail, is the same Aaron who married Hannah Mason in Dedham in 1733. How do we know this? In the probate file regarding guardianship of Moses Allen, Aaron Allen, and Abigail Allen, minor children of Samuel Allen of Sudbury, deceased, there is a document from Abigail Allen, single woman of Dedham, Suffolk County, dated 1732, where she discharges her guardian. See attached under Sources.
So we know the family was in Dedham. Then there is a marriage record from 1733 between Aaron Allen and Hannah Mason.
Then this Aaron had a son named Samuel and a son named Moses.
This Aaron Allen never lived in Sturbridge.
In total this Aaron had four known children - Judith, Benjamin, Samuel, and Moses.
Aaron is listed in the book, Walter Allen of Newbury, Mass., 1640, and some of his descendants, but the author didn't know what became of Aaron, although the author did say that Abigail was living in Dedham in 1732.
Marriage in the Massachusetts Marriages database at Familysearch.org:
Aaron Allen to Hanah Mason, 6 Dec 1733, Dedham, Norfolk Co, MA. This would obviouley be a bit too early for a man born in 1715.
Benjamin Allen, born 23 Dec 1735, Dedham, Norfolk, MA
Samuel Allin, born 26 Dec 1740 - Dedham, Norfolk, MA
Moses Allin, born 21 Dec 1743 - Dedham, Norfolk, MA
Aaron's death recorded in Dedham, March 1754.
The Aaron Allen in Sturbridge

Vital Records from Sturbridge, Worcester Co MA suggest that Aaron's wife was Hannah, and she was the mother of his children. These births or baptisms are recorded - under the surnames of both Allen and Allin. (name is seen as Hannah Morse on FamilySearch, but that could be a confusion with Mason)

It is believed that Aaron of Sturbridge had a second marriage to Deborah Plimpton, a widow, 4 Jan 1779 in Sturbridge. Hannah, wife of Aaron had died 17 Aug 1778 in her 63rd year.
He died 3 May 1794, in the 79th year (this would indicate a birth year of about 1715, which conflicts with this man's birth in Sudbury on 1707.
Son Aaron, Jr. married an Abigail Allen, 15 Mar 1764 - quite possibly a cousin. He died 30 Nov 1818 of consumption - age 79 which agrees with the above birth year. His widow, Abigail, died in October of 1828, age 87.
Marriages and deaths of some of the other children are also recorded in the Sturbridge Vital Records.
