Know all men by these presents that I Nancy C. Walters being of sone mine being conscious of my mortality & wishing to dispose of my business my self while able to do so do make & ordain this my last will & testament viz: I wish & will that whenever it is or shall be thought advisable by a majority of my then living children (or bodily Heirs) to sell my land that they proceed to so such terms & credit as may be thought by them or a majority of them most conclucive of the interest to of the heirs. It is further my wish & will that the proceeds be equally divided among my living children or their heirs & the heirs of my dec'd children viz Mrs. Mary More & Marshal & Felix, Judge & Forest Colbert sons of my late daughter Harriett Colbert it is however understood that out of their (Calberts) share there is to be paid to Dr. Thomas for services rendered to Harriet Calbert Forty dollars it is further understood that out of Mary Morehead's interest Dr. France is to be paid ten dollars with interest for services rendered her family. It is further my will that whatever I may have outside of my land be equally divided among my heirs

This last will & testament of Nancy C. Walters dec'd was produced in open Court and proven by the oath of J. H. France who also proved the signature of the other subscribing witness thereto, and the same was ordered to be recorded which accordingly done.

The death record of son Robert in 1916 states his mother was Nancy Crandall - was Crandall perhaps her middle name?
