This could be Gilbert, son of John Malone - especially since no initials are provided - the Gilbert, son of Booth Malone uses the initial G. D. T. Malone in his transactions.
17 Nov 1853 State of Mississippi to Gilbert Malone. There was forfeited in April 1851 to the State of MS for taxes the following tract: NW 1/4, Section 2, Twp 4, R 1, Tippah County. The period of redemption has expired without the tax paid. Gilbert Malone, resident of this state desires to purchase said tract and has paid the sum of 60 cents. In accordance with Act of Legislature, 9 Mar 1850, etc. The state does convey to Gilbert Malone his heirs and assigns, 160 acres. Signed at the City of Jackson, Dan. R. Russell, Auditor of Public Accounts.
