Individual Details

John probably arrived in Tippah Co MS about 1836. His wife in the 1850 census is Anice - some databases on the Internet give her name as Lucinda. Perhaps he was married twice. Daughter Lavisa's obit says her parents were John and Anna Malone. By 1860, the entire family was gone from Tippah Co - Riley found in Tishomingo Co MS - the others may have gone to Arkansas.

Little is known about John's son Marcus - could this be his widow and children?

Then Hh 1014 is Gabriel Malone and wife Lucinda Hays, followed by William P. King and wife Mary A. Malone, Gabriel's sister


Did John have a brother named Gabriel? In Jackson Co TN in 1860, there is a Gabriel Malone, age 70 (b. 1790) in NC with Martha, age 71, also born in NC.
