The 1910 census says they had been married for 6 years and it was Adeline's first marriage. Cleckler databases say she was the daughter of William Cleckler and Elizabeth Mims Baker (divorced from the Anderson Baker, b. 1834) but this is apparently an error. Elizabeth Mims that married Anderson Baker, died in 1864, which ended their marriage. A child was born that same year, likely Elizabeth died in childbirth.

Elizabeth is said to have died in 1884 (which is a mis-reading of her grave marker), although several Cleckler researchers attribute children born later to her. William Cleckler, age 45, married Sarah Baker, age 25, on 18 Oct 1891 - I have not been able to find them in 1900 or 1910 - he is said to have died in 1910.

If they have been married for six years, then Rosie & Carrie aren't likely Bakers, unless they are children of Catherine - why are they not living with her and she's really too old to have been their mother. Fannie, age 5, marked as a step-daughter cannot be if they've been married for 6 years. Adeline & Houston are surely children of Anderson Baker. Were some of these children born to Adeline before Anderson was divorced from Catherine? Yes - Rosie & Carrie (Charlotte) were Bakers born to Adeline prior to the marriage.

Her death record states she died 16 Jan 1955, in Clanton, age 74. She was married to Mr. Brown. Her father was Bill Cleckler; her mother Lizzie Mims.

Mrs. ADeline Baker Brown, age 79, died at the home, Clanton, Rte 2, Sunday monring at 4:45 o'clock. Services were held at Mt. Pisgah Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Brown, survives; five daughters - Mrs. Rosa Popwell, Mrs. Carrie Gray, Mrs. Fannie Bell Headley, and Mrs. Adeline Headley, all of Route 2, and Mrs. Lula Cox of Siluria; two sons - Houston of Birminham and Anklee Baker of Clanton. 50 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren. Four sisters - Mrs. Sarah Smitherman, Mrs. Barbara Ann Smitherman,, Mrs. susie Rhodes, and Mrs. Julia Mims, all of Clanton; Two brothers - Will and Tom Cleckler.
Native of Chilton County, she was a daughter of Bill Cleckler and Lizzie Mims Cleckler.
