William Cleckler's wife said to be Elizabeth Mims - FindAGrave has identified a very wrong Elizabeth Mims - one that was the wife of Anderson Baker and died in 1864. They have read the grave marker wrong as 1884 - then given her children born several years after.


There is a marriage record in Chilton Co, AL, 18 Oct 1891, for William Clecker, age 45, to Sarah Baker. He was 45; she was 23. The were married at the residence of the Bride's father by J. O. Rutherford, Minister. Surety on the bond was John S. Dennis.

Apparently a different William Cleckler, but too early to be his son.
There is also a Marriage License issued in Chilton Co to Mr. Will Cleckler and Mrs. Mary Mims, 1892 (no other data ofference in this filming).

Social Security Records have Barbara Ann Smitherman, b. 5 May 1906, Chilton, AL, died 11 Sep 1993. Parents Bill Cleckley and Sara "Barker".
