Benjamin H. Jones: 2m age 15-20, 1m age 40-50. 1f 5-10, 1f 10-15, 1f 20-30, and 1f age 40-50.
He was enumerated between Benjamin J. Haden and Beverly A. Haden.
Thomas W. Haden, believe to be the eldest son was also in Fluvanna.

Amherst Co, 1850. I had previously found this entry, but could not tell if sure if this was Benjamin Haden Jones, son of John & Susanna, but a descendant said his wife was Elizabeth Whitelaw who may have died in the year 1850. I do believe this would be the man and he had left Fluvanna Co - so had Thomas W. Jones, said to be the eldest son [the male child under 10 in 1820]
Household 1090. Benjamin H. was 56 [born 1794]. Elizabeth was 57 [if a person had died before the census cut-off date in that year they were to be counted anyway - so she could have already been deceased] David W., age 27 - a carpenter - isn't that interesting! Elizabeth A. 22. Geo. W. McKinney, age 37.
So we are missing a son - Thomas W. and a David W. are accounted for, but there were three in 1830, one age 10-15 that would be Thomas and two under age 5.
Household 870, Eastern District. Thomas W. Jones, age 35 [b. 1815], Farmer. The rest of his family is not there - a page is missing. The next digital image is two McCrary children followed by household 891. I have accessed two places for this census and the page is missing in both of them - household numbers go from 870 to 891 - there could even be two missing pages.

The slave schedules for 1850, Amherst Co, show that Benjamin H. Jones owned 12 slaves from age 62 to infants. Thomas W. owned 14 slaves, ages 50 to infants.

1860 Census. Amherst Co, VA Hh 1039
Ben H. Jones, age 66. Jane G., age 45 [apparently a 2nd wife]
Jas. O., age 6
Nancy, age 9

By 1860, Benjamin's slave holdings had increased to 20, ages 60 to infants.
