Scituate Town Records - digitized on Ancestry, but copy of the original. First part of the filming is vital records - p.97, image 220, begins a list of livestock marks and various other entries. At the top of p. 97 it says, "Old Record, Vol. 5, p.1". There is an index of sorts, but very hard to follow.
Recorded 12 January 1681 Samuell Hollbrooks marke is A hapeny or a semecirkell cut out of the right eare the fore part of the eare
Recorded November 9th, 1730. Samll. Holbrooks Ear mark is a hlafpenny or Semicircle cut out of the uper side of the Right Ear

Samuel married Mary Pierce, daughter of Capt. Michael Pierce and Persis Eames. He was age 69 at his death, 29 Oct 1712, and is buried Groveland Cemetery, Scituate, Plymouth Co, MA
