Edward Mims

(1816 - 29 May 1895)

No Edward is named in the estate settlement of James G. Mims as transcribed. He may very well be a nephew or cousin. However, there were at least two male children in the earlier censuses that are not identified. Edward seems slightly younger, but there's also evidence he wasn't sure of his exact age. He is not the only unattached male Mims, born SC, about this age, that does not seem to be a child of James G. Mims.

Edward married (1) Marian Calloway, 14 May 1837, Autauga Co AL and (2) Elizabeth Durden, 3 Aug 1856, also in Autauga Co.
