A. C. Smith appointed Guardian Ad Litem for Ocie, Ed & Minnie Mims, minor heirs of Joe Mims, deceased and protect their interest upon the hearing of the petition of Bill Mims & others to sell certain lands therin described for distribution. Smith accepted and signed.
Note: I have not found the family in 1900.

20 Jul 1901. Chilton County Probate Court. O. C. Mims, Ed Mims, Minnie Mims and Parilee Depree Mims are entitled to an undivided 1/11 interest in the lands as the widow and heirs at law of Joe Mims, deceased, who was an heir at law of Edward Mims, deceased.

First marriage? Joseph Mims married Parolee Dupree, 27 Nov 1884; he was age 19. Parolee appears to have had at least two subsequent marriages.
