Patience never married. VIRGINIA GAZETTE, 29 May 1778 "Miss Patience Jackson died in the bloom of life" [The articles "The Jacksons of Lower Virginia" state that Patience married Ezekiel Sudbury. In 1746, Martha Jackson, John Green & Ralph Jackson witnessed a deeds of gift from Ezekiel Sudbury to his son Ezekiel, "son of my wife Patience" By 1747, Patience had died and Ezekiel's wife was Anne. This seems to effectively remove all possibility that the right Patience has been identified as the wife of Ezekiel. Patience as a daughter of Joseph, would not have been old enough to marry Ezekiel Sudbury prior to 1747.]
