Zelota Allen married Nathan H. Spears on 27 Oct 1844. There was also a marriage of Zelota Allen to Gooding Holloway on 9 May 1841. Did she have a daughter named Zelota? Did she marry Holloway so briefly she didn't use his name?
In a marriage abstract book found at ACPL, the bride's index showed Zelota Allen to Holloway Gooding, but the listing didn't appear anywhere in the book that I could find.

Nathan H. Spears vs. Zelota Spears - Divorce
Nathan filed 5 Jan 1848 - he stated they married 27 Oct 1844 and lived as husband and wife until about March 15th, 1847. She often conducted herself improperly, was quarrelsome and ill disposed. She abandoned his home and has no intention of returning. James H. Henry, solicitor for complainant. Zelota was summoned to appear at the September Term to answer the charges. However, she must not have contested as the divorce was granted 28 March 1848.

Zelota Spears married Samuel Allen 17 Mar 1850.

In the 1850 Vigo Co IN Census, is a "Samuel" Allen, age 55, born in New York married to a Zelota, age 50, also born in New York. Child Miron D., born Massachusetts also lives with them with spouse Abigail and a son Frances, age 2, and a daughter Florence E. age 1. There is no indication that there was another Allen of this family, near this age, named Samuel.

Information from a descendant of Nathan Spears states that he married again - censuses show Nathan, wife Martha, and children.
