From old family letter:
Thomas is said to have been captain of 51 wagons that traveled from Council Bluffs to Salt Lake City. John Dixon Hanan and brother James also said to have been with the train. [Note: Nephews of Thomas, sons of his brother Samuel.] Soon after they arrived at the Feather Reaves diggings, Thomas was out searching for stolen horses and was killed. He had a large sum of money on his person, some belonging to John and James - presumably robbery was the motive.
...the Prices homestead in Russellville, KY was still occupied by the Price family in 1936.
