Bradford was married three time. First to Martha Ann Weber, b. 20 Mar 1831, d. 18 Jan 1881. He married Eleanor P. Gregg, 5 May 1888. He married (3) to Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Rehfuss) Gay, 19 Jul 1891. Minnie apparently brought two children to the marriage.

Pioneer Gets His Last Wish
Can’t Comply With Request
Reno County Pioneer Wanted To Be Laid at Rest Here
Because of provision of the quarantine regulation forbidding it the body of Bradford P. Hanan, an old resident of Reno county, cannot be laid at rest by the side of his wife at Langdon as he had requested before death.
Mr. Hanan died at the National Soldiers Home at Leavenworth last week where he had been for two years. He was 82 years of age. His body was interred at the Home cemetery at Leavenworth, although it had been his request that he be buried in the Old Langdon cemetery and be given a Masonic burial.
Mr. Hanan located in Reno county in 1875 settling on a claim five miles west of Arlington. For years he was engaged in the nursery business at Arlington.

Remains of B. P. Hanan Laid at Rest Beside Wife

The body of B. P. Hanan, an old soldier of Reno county who died about three weeks ago at the soldiers home at Leavenworth, was laid at rest today beside his deceased wife in the Old Langdon cemetery. When Mr. Hanan died there was a smallpox quarantine at the home and the body could not be brought here then. It was his request that he be buried beside his wife. The funeral occurred under Masonic auspices today.

Parents were Johann Jacob Rehfuss and Rosina Fredericka Stecker who are buried Groton Cemetery, Groton, Brown Co, SD.
