The possibility of the second wife Sarah Garfield, dau. of Edward Garfield who died in 1672, is discussed at length by Robert Charles Anderson in the "Great Migration" book (entry for Edward Garfield) based on the naming of Edward's granddaughter Sarah Parkhurst. Abraham Brown, father of George Parkhurst's first wife Sarah Brown mentions his grandson John Parkhurst but not a granddaughter Sarah Parkhurst. This leads to the solution of two wives (both named Sarah) prior to George's third wife, the widow Mary (___) Veazie.
