Alana married William M. Henley, b. 28 Dec 1828. They were married 16 Oct 1848, Bibb Co, AL. He served as a private, Co. B, 29th AL Infantry, in the Civil War. There were 8 children. William died 18 Apr 1919. They are buried Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Chilton Co, AL.

William M. Henley served in the Civil War as a Private, Co D, 29th AL Regt. He enlisted from Randolph County, 10 Mar 1864 and was paroled 15 May 1865. The first application is dated 23 Apr 1897. He was certified to receive pension 20 Jul 1899. His application states he enlisted at Centreville, Bibb Co. He had a severe case of typhoid fever while in the service at Mobile. He was unable to make a living on account of old age and affliction and signed with his mark. Willy Foshee and A. Eiland testified on his behalf, 27 May 1899 and 30 May 1899, respectively. William owned no land and $53 worth of personal property to include 2 cows, 3 hogs, 1 gun, 2 watches or clocks.
