Individual Details

James Herndon West

(1803 - 14 Jan 1858)

Said to have sons Leonard and Amos. In Logan Co there are two marriages of a James West, in 1807 and 1808 - too early for this James, son of Amos, and two of James H. West, 1824 and 1836.

A researcher of this line
http://genforum.genealogy.com/west/messages/1300.html
states that James married Jane Babb, 18 Mar 1834, in Robertson Co TN - none of the marriage in Logan Co seem to have been his, if that's true. However, nothing about this, date or location seems accurate.
