George married Alice Marshall, 19 Jun 1621, St. Mary Arches, Exeter. They had only one child, Bartholomew who died without heirs in London - his will proved 28 Apr 1641. When young Bartholomew died the manor of Exbourne, acquired from his father, passed to his father's youngest brother, Richard.

George wrote his will 24 Jan 1628/9. After death of his wife, his estate to go to his son Bartholomew and brother Richard. He made a bequest "all my estate in certain houses called Heales house to his mother and 400 #'s to be bestowed on her other children. A codicil dated 1 Apr 1629 notes that his brother Richard is now "beyond the seas". A final codicil is dated 27 Jun 1635 and the will was proved 22 Aug 1635, brought before the magistrate by Alice Harris.

The will of his son Bartholomew, merchant of London, was dated 20 Nov 1640. He mentions brothers, brothers-in-law, uncles, his grandmother aunts, nieces and nephews. It is evident his mother remarried after the death of George to George Warren and his mother and stepfather were to be his executors. Proved 28 Apr 1641.
