The last record of Deborah as wife of Walter Joy is the John Winthrop's Medical Journal with the notation that Winthrop treated the wife of Walter Joy at Milford [Connecticut] in 1657.
Sometime between 1660 and 1667, Thomas French of Guilford acquired a second wife named Deborah by whom he had two children, Samuel in 1667, and Abigail in 1669.
On 10 Mar 1678 and again on 21 Jul 1679, Thomas French and his wife Deborah, of Guilford, conveyed property to Joseph Joy.
The following is also stated in Families of Old Fairfield but cannot be correct unless the dates of one or more of the deeds is incorrect. Deborah could not have been the wife of John Jordan and died in 1677 if she was signing deeds with Thomas French in 1678 and 1679.
Deborah may have married (3) to John Jordan and died in 1677. John Jordan and Deborah his wife of Guilford conveyed to John French [her stepson] on 12 Apr 1766. Jonathan Pitman witnessed the deed, which then stated that Deborah died before the ensealing and delivery - Guilford Deeds.
