Charles was living in White Twp of Polk Co AR in 1900 - the same township where his father and grandfather were living. Born Nov. 1869, age 30. Married 3 years. Born Arkansas as were both parents. Maud, his wife, born probably 1874 [difficult to read her entry], age 26. She was also born in Arkansas, her father born in North Carolina, her mother born AR. She appears to have had 3 children, 3 living, but none are listed and they had been married only 3 years - this seems to be an error by the enumerator.

Charles Allen
Charles Allen, aged 51, died at a local hospital at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Pauline and Geraldine Allen, all of Little Rock, and his mother, Mrs. Anna Allen of Fort Smith. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
