Hilman Edsel Mims, 84, of Clanton died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton. He was born Wednesday, April 1, 1925, in Chilton, son of the late Virgil Morris Mims and the late Roberta Easterling Mims. He was a rural letter carrier.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Roger Mims of Clanton and Keith Mims of Clanton; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Miriam W. Mims.
Services will be Friday, March 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
