Mrs. Polly Maddox Died
Mrs. Polly Wyatt Maddox, age 79, died at Peek's Clinic, Marbury, Monday morning at 12:50 o'clock. Services were held at Concord Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Homer Carroll and Rev. G. G. Williams; Spigener directing. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Three sons survive - Tommie Maddox of Route 1, Arthur Maddox of Route 2, and Dewey Maddox of Montgomery; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
The husband, John Maddox, died some ten years ago.
Native of Chilton county, Mrs. Maddox was a daughter of G. F. M. (Duck) Wyatt and Jane Popwell Wyatt. She was the last one of this family of nine children to pass on. Her brothers were - Daniel, Ruben, Jim & Tom Wyatt; sisters - Dorenda Dupree, Mariann Easterling (Babe), Sallie Taylor and Cora Robinson.
