Ester Sarah Cureton died at the Leake Clinic in Gladwater, Gregg Co, TX on 28 Aug 1959. Her residences was the East Mountain Community, Upshur Co where she had lived for 23 years. She was born 20 May 1907, Albion, OK, and was married. Father George W. Stevens; mother Martha Jane Haggard. The informant was W. S. Cureton. She died of gastrointestinal hemorrhage and had acute atrophy of the liver; cirrhosis of the liver. Buried East Mountatin Cemetery on Aug 29th.

Burial will be in East Mountain Cemetery...
Mrs. Cureton died Friday in a Gladewater hospital following a long illness.
She was born in Albion, Okla., and had lived in the East Mountain community for 23 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, W. S. Cureton; three sons, James L. Cureton, William Stanley Cureton Jr., and Jackie Charles Cureton, all of East Mountain; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Seaboldt of Odessa and Mrs. Mattie Dailey of Mount Holley, NC; three brothers, Roy Stevens of Stockton, CA; William Charles Stephens of Colton, CA; and J. C. Stevens of Hawthorne, Okla.

Wilbur Stanley Cureton died 8 Jan 1960 at the East Mountain Community, Rt. 2, Longview, Upshur Co, TX where he had lived for 25 years. He was born 25 Oct 1907 in OK and was widowed. His occupation had been that of switcher for Manson Oil Co. His father was Will M. Cureton; his mother Minnie Fesperman. The informant was James Cureton. Wilbur died of acute pneumonia and a weak heart. He was buried on Jan. 11th at the East Mountain Cemetery.

Wilbur S. Cureton, 52, switcher for the Manston Oil Company and resident of the East Mountain community near here for 22 years, died at his residence Friday after a brief illness.
He was a native of Wilburton, Okla.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday at the East Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Obie Baker, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the East Mountain Cemetery.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. W. M. Cureton of Florida; three sons, Stanley Cureton of Corpus Christi, James Cureton of Greggton and Jackie Cureton of East Mountain; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Edmondson of Forrest City, Ark., Mrs. Lindsey Cox of Stiro, Okla., Mrs. Bernice Crockett of Hath, Ark., and Mrs. LaJean Good of Pensacola, Floa., and two brothers, Ellis Cureton of Forrest City, Ark., and Eldon Cureton of Kermit.
