Ebenezer Billings

(1661 - 16 Sep 1727)

Ebenezer was an ensign in the military and was a soldier in King Philip's War in 1675. Admitted to the Stoning Church 1712. Wrote will 20 Feb 1727 which was proved 5 Oct 1727.

His father was William Billings, b Taunton, Somerset, Eng, abt 1629. He left England some time prior to 1649 as evidenced in an older brother' will. His arrival in America is not recorded. However it is certain that he lived in Dorchester in 1658 and moved to Stonington on or before 1667.
His mother was said to be Mary Wales Atherton daughter of Maj. Gen Humphrey Atherton, but I believe that has been disproved

His probate file can be found on Ancestry - the Ancestry indexing has confused his file with that of his son's.
