I believe he was much older. 1860 Census, Subdivision 10, Claiborne Co TN, Hh 1354 is James Blansett, age 53 and Mary A., age 23. They were living next door to Claiborne Bartlett whose wife Lucy, may have been a daughter of James Blansett.

In 1870, James Blanset, age 63, was living in the home of Claiborne Bartlett, age 39, and Lucy A. 32, and their five children. It would appear Mary McBee may have died young.
