Individual Details

Robert Mims

(1712 - )

Robert married Sarah Pace.

15 Jan 1736 - bought 358 acres from David Mims, the land David had acquired by patent, 31 Oct 1726. On 10 Mar 1733, Linah Mims had transferred title to the same land back to David. [There seems to be a transaction missing somewhere...]

10 Apr 1739, Robert sold the 358 acres to John Wright. [there is some question about Robert's residence when he sold this land - said to say Edgecombe, but Robert did not go to North Carolina]. Robert is thought to have moved to the area of Mecklenburg and Charlotte Counties in Virginia, immediately north of the Warrenton Dist, North Carolina.

There were at least two sons - Frederick and Thomas. Frederick Mims served in the Revolution from Warrenton District, NC. Thomas lived in Charlotte Co, VA.
