5 May 1836, Belmont Co, Ohio, Adaline married James Watson, a blacksmith, whose had his shop in Mt. Pleasant. They had at three children before her death.

I believe this is James in 1850, with a new wife. The ages of the children would suggest that three children were born to Adaline before she died.

James Watson was born 25 Dec 1810; died 15 Apr 1891, Auburn, Sangamon Co, IL.

Born in Ohio of Scottish parents. Aged 80y 3m.
Married Adeline Mitchell in 1836, sister of William Mitchell, of Chicago and J. J. Mitchell of St. Louis. They had three children: John, who is one of the leading merchants at Auburn; Harvey, who died several years ago, and Mrs. Maggie Barr, who resides with her parents since the death of her husband.
Dec. 30, 1847, he was married to his second wife (Sarah Crawford). Of this union there are three children: Oella J. Sanders of Auburn and William D. and Harry, residing in Hiawatha, Kas.
The family removed from Ohio to this locality in 1863 and lived on a farm up to about 1882 when Mr. Watson sold out and came to town and built him a very nice residence, where he has resided ever since.
He was not a communicant of any church yet he was a believer in the Christian religion. He was steady, honest and upright, and dealt with his fellow men as he would like to have them deal with him, and to all he was charitable. He was a kind husband, a good father and an exemplary citizen.
The interment will be at Oak Ridge, arriving in Springfield on the C. & A. Railroad at noon.
