Alexander Davidson was born 3 Jan 1743/4, Gloucester Co, VA. He died 15 Aug 1817, Barren Co, KY. His first wife was Ann Bridges. He married his second wife, Mary Ellis, 28 Apr 1783, Rutherford Co NC. In 1796, he was an elder of Sandy Run Baptist Church, but in 1797 he applied for a Letter of Dismissal and removed to Warren Co KY. He served as a Warren Co delegate to the Second Constitutional Convention of KY. He settled on Beaver Creek which became part of Barren Co in 1798. His dated 15 Jun 1811, proved in 1818, named 19 children and a stepchild. Estate documents show eight were children of his first marriage, and eleven & the stepdaughter of his second wife who survived him, but dying 10 Mar 1849, Barren Co KY

Will of Alexander Davidson. Wife Mary. As the following legatees come of age, Mary shall give them:
son Jess, 30# in stock and household furniture and the same to Abram, Jacob, Elice [Ellis], Asa, and Alan Albert Davidson, and 50# to each of my daughters Elizabeth & Sarah Davidson.
At my wife's death the remainder of my estate to be divided equally between all my sons and daughters, and stepdaughters: James, John, Alexander, Ann, Hezekiah, William, Margaret, Elijah [these first eight believed to be the children of his first wife], Benjamin, Isaac, Elizabeth, Jesse, Sarah, Rachel [Stepdaughter], Abram, Jacob, Ellis, Asa, Allen, and Albert Davidson.
Executors to be wife Mary and sons Alexander, Hezekiah & Benjamin.

Relating about a conference held in at Mt. Tabor for the Sinking Creek Association. Alexander Davidson was the pastor of Mt. Tabor. Robert Stockton was chosen moderator; having served 14 times at the Strawberry Association in Virginia. James Whitsitt was present and along with Joshua White and John Mulkey was appoint to preach on Sunday. Note: Stockton and Whitsitt are both collateral to my Haden research.

That Ann, wife of Jesse Goodman was the daughter of Alexander and Ann Bridges is proved by the following Perry Co TN deeds.
