Noel's parents believed to be Robert Burton and Prixcilla Farrar.
He was likely planning to move to North Carolina when he died - his children did so. This tract likely within the bounds of what would become Caswell County. His son Robert may have been the first to make the move to North Carolina as he was present for the proving of this deed.

7 Feb 1769 James Armstrong & Judith his wife of Orange to Noel Burton of Goochland Co VA, 375 where Armstrong now lives, south side of Dan River. Begin corner on south side of Dan where the county line crosses, along the line; old Kesson'l line crossing Hogans Creek below the old mill; Earl Granville's line to Mayo's line; down Hogans creek to the mouth and up the Dan River to beginning.
