Mrs. Hale was born on March 26, 1926 in Joplin, Missouri. She was the only child of the late Laura May Comstock and Dr. Nat H. Carson. Her maternal grandparents were early settlers of the Joplin community having arrived by covered wagon in 1895 via wooded dirt path from Springfield, MO. Frankie attended Joplin schools, graduating from Joplin Senior High school in 1944. During World War II she worked at Camp Crowder in Neosho in the printing department. She later was employed in the advertising division of The Joplin Globe. On August 14, 1949, she married Pat G. Hale, whom she had met in second grade. In 1954 they moved to Austin, TX where she worked in administration while Pat graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. Subsequently they moved to Dallas, TX where he began his career and she worked for British American Oil. The couple returned to Joplin in 1963 after purchasing an established real estate and insurance agency and renaming it the Pat Hale Agency, where they encouraged their agents to bring the highest level of ethics and service to their clients. Together they managed the First National Bank Building for 18 years. Throughout her career, Frankie enjoyed commodity and stock investing. She served on many civic and community boards and associations while mentoring to women in business. She also remained active on her high school reunion committee, Club 44, for many years and enjoyed these lasting relationships. Mrs. Hale was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Forest Park Baptist Church. In 2014, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she could be close to her daughter and family. There she enjoyed many new friendships and activities in the milder climate. Frankie is survived by her only daughter, Laura Anne Musfeldt and husband, Major General Jeffrey M. Musfeldt,( USAF Retired) of Scottsdale, AZ; three grandchildren, Annie Musfeldt Duarte of Portland, Oregon; Austin Musfeldt of Columbia, South Carolina; and Adam Musfeldt of Flagstaff, Arizona.
