He may be the Samuel Comstock who served in the 8th Company, of the 4th Regt of Connecticut, in the Campaign Year of 1758 during the French & Indian Wars. The Regt was commanded by Col. David Wooser, the company by Capt. Isaac Isaacs.

Probate Packet, Norfolk, Litchfield, for Samuel Comstock, 1764. Date of Inventory, 13 Oct 1764. Stephen Comstock, letters of administration. Ezekiel Wilcox was his security for the bond of £200, 2 Oct 1764.
5 Aug 1765 "To the Honorable Court of Probate for the District of Litchfield. Honor'd Sir. I was left with very little or no Provisions for my family, etc. My Dec'd Husbands Estate is Insolvent am much concerned how we Shall be Supported. Humbly request your Honor would allow me Something out of the Estate that we may not suffer. if in your wisdom. Shall be fit. Will much oblige. Your Hum'bl Petitioner. Mary Comstock"
Peter Comstock made bond as guardian of Serajah Comstock of Norfolk, age 15 years, son of Samuel Comstock, deceased, 14 Sep 1773.
