He may be the Samuel Comstock who served in the 8th Company, of the 4th Regt of Connecticut, in the Campaign Year of 1758 during the French & Indian Wars. The Regt was commanded by Col. David Wooser, the company by Capt. Isaac Isaacs.

I was left with very little or no Provisions for my family, etc. My Dec'd Husbands Estate is Insolvent am much concerned how we Shall be Supported.
