Samuel Comstock

Dorothy Comstock was appointed administratrix of the estate of Samuel Comstock, late of New Fairfield, on 14 Apr 1747. The probate record mentions that there was a widow and seven small children, one of whom was deceased. Commissioners were appointed to divide the estate of Samuel Comstock - one third to Dorothy Arnold, wife of Samuel Arnold, late widow to deceased; Samuel Comstock, eldest son to receive two parts. Remaining children each one part - Stephen, Jonathan, Peter, Gershom, Dorothy and Martha. Gershom was deceased before age 21, his part to be divided among his siblings.
