It has long been assumed that Francis Graves, Sr. described in 1642 as "orphan of Capt Thomas Graves, dec'd" was the youngest child of Thomas and Katherine. However, the youngest seemed to have been a female child. DNA studies do indicate that Francis is NOT a descendant of Thomas & Catherine, so apparently this was a female child and Francis Graves who married Jane McGuffy, does not belong in this family.
