Margaret was granted a membership transfer from Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Chatham County, North Carolina to Fairfield Monthly Meeting in Highland County, Ohio on September 4, 1813. No record has been found that she was received into Fairfield.
Margaret may have accompanied her daughter, Mary, and son-in-law, Thomas Ratcliff, to Ohio as there is a biography that indicates that Thomas and Mary moved to Ohio in 1813. The same biography indicates that Thomas and Mary moved on to Fountain County, Indiana in 1829.
It is also possible that Margaret accompanied her son, John, and daughter-in-law, Welmet, from North Carolina to Parke County, Indiana in about 1825.
Margaret is buried in Cashatt Cemetery in Parke County, Indiana. The gravestone indicates that Margaret was in her 97th year when she died. The best guess is that she was born about 1745 and died about 1842.
Her daughter, Mary, and son-in-law, Thomas Ratcliff, are buried in the same cemetery.
