Henry had married Phoebe Jones Farabee. They are buried Bethel Cemetery, Tyro, Davidson Co NC. They are not together - they apparently had disagreements in their lifetime and she asked not to be buried next to him. He is buried next to children Lemon Cicero and Ellen Frances Davis Hartley.

Children other than Sarah Ann and Joseph Napoleon listed in 1850, they had William Thales, Ellen Frances and Lemon Cicero.

They lived on Swearing Creek on land bought from Henry's mother Barbara Darr and from his father-in-law Joseph Farabee.
