Samuel Morton

(1711 - 1764)

In 1740, Elizabeth Morton, widow of Thomas, deeded land in Amelia Co VA to her sons and her nephew Samuel, son of John Morton.
Samuel later patented lands in Lunenburg Co, the part that became Charlotte. Co.

Samuel married Ann Moore, daughter of George Moore of Amelia.

He was a Sergeant in the French & Indian Wars in 1758.
