Dorothy is believed to be the daughter of Richard Dudley who died about 1716 in South Farnham Parish, Essex Co VA. His will, dated 10 Dec 1716, and proved on 16 Jul 1717, names two daughters as Elizabeth Gatewood and Dorothy Gatewood. Elizabth was married to Henry's brother Thomas.
